First 72hr Post Appointment

This time is your highest risk of infection. To avoid infection, be sure to follow Week 1-3 Aftercare, avoid rubbing your tattoo on any surfaces that maybe dirty, let your tattoo air out, and wear loose fitting clothes where the tattoo is touching.

If you do get sweaty, dirty, or rub your tattoo on a dirty surface, wash immediately and GENTLY with antibacterial hand soap. It is important to note, although the first 72hrs is your highest risk of getting an infection, infections with PROPERLY cared for tattoos are rare, and almost non existent.

Weeks 1-3 Aftercare

Be sure to wash your hands before touching your tattoo. Dirty hands are the main cause of infection in tattoos. Immediately once you get home from your appointment, remove the bandage and wash your tattoo with antibacterial and soap. After washing, PAT dry your tattoo with a clean towel, and apply a thin coat of coconut oil to the tattooed area only.

You will repeat the wash, dry, lotion steps 2x-3x a day for the first 3x weeks. No additional lotion or moisturizing is needed outside of this. If your skin still looks wet 45 minutes after applying coconut oil, you applied too much, and apply a little less next time.

You can not submerge your tattoo under water for the first 30 days, however, showering is allowed immediately after the appointment. Tattoo peeling will occur during this time around week 2, DO NOT peel the deadl skin off, allow it to naturally fall off.

Weeks 3-5 Aftercare

Reduce washing to once a day, and lotion in the morning and evening.

Tattoo should be fully healed between weeks 4-5.
